Congratulations to Marie-France Marin
On March 19th, as part of its annual conference, the Societé Québécoise pour la Recherche en Psychologie (SQRP) presented the Guy Bégin award 2011 - fundamental axis/neuropsychology, to Marie-France Marin, a Ph.D. student at the Centre for Studies on Human Stress.
This award aims to recognize and reward students who publish as first author in a scientific paper of high calibre. Ms. Marin has won this award thanks to the publication of the article, Modulatory Effects of Emotional Stress on Reactivated Emotional Memory, in the April 2010 issue of the journal, Psychoneuroendocrinology.
In addition to the honors that comes with the prize, Ms. Marin received $500 and had the opportunity to present her research to the participants of the SQRP symposium that was held at the Chateau Laurier in Quebec City.
SQRP's main goal is to promote research in psychology in all its fields of specialization, and to bring together Francophone researchers, in the context of research and public education. The award was created to honor the legacy of Guy Bégin, who taught at the École de Psychology at Université Laval from 1975-1987.
