On April 11th, 2012, Dr. Sonia Lupien, Director of the Centre for Studies on Human Stress will present a talk entitled: “Silent Victims: Breaking the Silence.” Her talk is directed towards families fighting depression and the stigma of mental illness. Stigma is a barrier and often discourages individuals and their families from getting the help they need due to the fear of discrimination.
